Registry First Aid Platinum
This program will remove left overs in your registry from multiple downloads and installations. It will defragment your registry and connect files to their proper route.
I also use it instead of the add/remove programs because it deletes the whole program properly and tells you which programs are not there on your computer. Just be careful because some files maybe running through the internet and just need security updates from microsoft.com If you are not sure about a program, stick to the safety filter.
Try it out for free and if you like it- buy it.
I have used Tuneup Utilities2007(licensed) and I find it very good. You just need to have at registered so you can have all the updates for your copy and every works great. Also using the software means that you really need to read the manual or anything about what your software can do.
Some great programs that can make your computer run faster
