CPU at 100% what do I do?

I play many games on the computer and I have never had a problem with them before however recently I have not been able to play some of them and the only thing that has changed is my CPU usage and it says at 100% at all times not matter what I get rid of. I have tried to system restore my computer, defragment it, and when I get the chance I will try and free of disk space. I have been working on it for a good while and I don’t want to have to recover the entire computer. I have a Dell 4600 series with Windows XP of course the processor is a pentium 4 I believe, it has 2.66 GHZ and 256 RAM. I hope that this information is helpful. Also I have tried to use my anti viruses and they seem to either lock up or just never finish. I don’t have that great of anti virus protectors but have Mcaffy and Wincleaner.

How safe are the Add Ons in the Windows Marketplace & Digital Locker?

I use both IE7 & Firefox, they both offer different AddOns, my favorite ones with Firefox are the NoScript AddOn, AdBlock Plus, Fire.fm, Answers & Cool Iris Previews. Windows Marketplace offers different AddOns like Free Firewalls, Free AntiSpyware & other Free Programs for your computer, but how SAFE are they? Sometimes when I try to download them using the Digital Locker, I get an error. I have been using the Comcast McAfee Security Suite & I had to uninstall some third party Free AntiSpyware programs that were not compatible(Spybot, SUPERAntiSpyware & Spyware Blaster). So I went to Windows Marketplace & I found Windows Defender & Dr. Alex AntiSpyware & downloaded those & so far I haven’t had any problems with them conflicting with McAfee. I had tried to download Wincleaner, but it didn’t work. Other Free AntiSpyware Programs in the Windows Marketplace are Semellone, Arovax, Blink Personal, PCClear Plus, but I haven’t heard of any of those either. Has anyone used any of these programs from the Windows Marketplace? Which ones slow down your PC? What Free AntiSpyware Programs in the “Windows Marketplace” do you recommend that would be compatible with the Comcast McAfee Security Suite?

Can NOT Delete FREE AVG 8.0?
